Hello TOAST
We've spent a long time admiring British label TOAST on our travels to London - so you can imagine how excited we are to be bringing this beautiful label to our HAWTHORN EAST store in Melbourne!
TOAST began with loungewear and nightwear, designed in a farmhouse in Wales. Originally founded by James and Jessica Seaton in 1997, the collections reflected a sense of ease and a slower, more thoughtful way of life. Today, led by Suzie de Rohan Willner, TOAST creates and curates simple, functional, beautiful clothing.
The design aesthetic of ease, functionality, richness of texture and thoughtful contemporary design sits at the heart of the TOAST brand and is reflected across each beautiful collection.
TOAST offers an eclectic mix of bohemian pieces, celebrating traditional craft techniques and a mix of contemporary and historic cultural movements and traditional textile techniques, together with French and Japanese-inspired workwear and supple linen loungewear.
The Spring/Summer 2023 collection, Open Water, explores the rhythm of the tides and the expansive nature of the sea. “This season we explored our connection to water as a source and resource,” says Head of Design Laura Shippey. “Starting with early 20th-century mariners, navigating by the stars, we wanted to bring a sense of adventure and pioneering spirit to our womenswear.”
